Tiger women finish fourth

JOPLIN, Mo. --¬ Finishing in the highest regional position since 1996, the Fort Hays State University women's cross country team took fourth at the South Central Regional hosted by MIssouri Southern State University on Saturday.
Juniors Ashlee Orr and Nikki Knowles led the pack, finishing 22nd and 26th, respectively, while sophomore Ali Mishler was 33rd.
The Tigers finished with 163 points, behind regional champion Missouri Southern (65), Abilene Christian (101) and Pittsburg State University (139).
Junior Jackie Jamison finished 40th individually and freshman Amie Algrim was 51st to finish the scoring for the Tigers.
The Tiger men got top 20 performances from junior Dan Yoder, who finished 17th, and senior Aaron Davidson (18th). The two were split by two seconds on the 10-kilometer course. Freshman Kody Cook finished 61st, while freshman Cole Ginther and junior Matt Goetz were 66th and 74th, respectively.
