Tiger baseball drops 4th straight

The Fort Hays State University baseball team lost its fourth straight game Thursday 15-6 in a Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association matchup against Missouri Southern State University. The Tigers are 4-13 overall and 1-4 in the MIAA and sit in ninth place in the 10-team conference.
Sophomore Eric Gilliland, the team's best pitcher, suffered through his worst start of the season. He allowed four earned runs (eight overall) in four innings. Fort Hays was down 8-0 after four. Dusty Washburn went 3-for-4 with two homers in the loss. Washburn leads the team in several statistics, including homers, RBI and batting average.
The Tigers have a doubleheader against Missouri Southern today.
