Two Tigers finish in top 10 of RMAC Invite

KEARNEY, Neb. -- Two Tigers earned top 10 spots after Tuesday's final round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Fall Women's Invitational.
Senior Shelby White finished in a tie for fourth place, shooting a two-round 165 to lead the way for the Tigers. Fort Hays finished with a 718 in fourth place, while Western New Mexico took top team honors with a 656, folowed by Mesa State (Colo.) College (672), and host University of Nebraska-Kearney (706).
Junior Kelsie Paul finished in a tie for 10th place, shooting a two-round 171. Paul bettered her first-round score by seven strokes to shoot an 82 in the second round. White dropped back after leading the first day. White shot an 86 in Day 2, seven strokes worse than her first round lead.
Nebraska-Kearney's Kami Hen took home top individual honors with a 159, improving by three strokes in the second round.
The Tigers begin play in the Regis Invitational on Monday in Denver.
Tiger men fifth in Colorado
LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Senior Nick Rotolo shot a three-round 217 to lead the Tiger men to a fifth-place finish in the Colorado School of Mines/Regis University Fall Invitational. The Tigers were 37 strokes back of team title-winning Fort Lewis (Colo.) College.
Rotolo shot a 71 in Day 3 to set his final score, followed up for the Tigers by a 13th-place tie for sophomore Walker Frey, who shot a 226.
Colorado Christian, which placed second with a 212, was led by an individual title performance for Jon Klingensmith, who shot a 212. Klingensmith recorded the best round of the tourney with a 67 in round 2.
Fort Hays will begin play Sunday in Kirksville, Mo. at the Truman State (Mo.) University Classic.
