Tiger golfers tie for eighth

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Fort Hays State University men's golf team finished in a tie for eighth with Truman State (Mo.) University in Tuesday's final round of the 11-team Heart of America Classic.
The Tigers, in 10th place after the first day, shot a 309 and improved by seven strokes Tuesday. The 309 tied for the sixth-best score on Tuesday.
The Tigers didn't have any players finish in the top 30 overall in the 63-player field. Junior Jeff Roether, helped by a second-round 74, finished at 155 and tied for 31st.
