Pair of Tigers qualify for national indoor meet in Minnesota

The Fort Hays State University track and field teams qualified two athletes for the national tournament March 14-15 in Mankato, Minn.
Junior Bryan Haynes qualified in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, while Brady Maska, a Hays High School graduate and Barton County Community College transfer, qualified in the shot put. Haynes, a junior from Arizona, has season best times of 6.84 seconds in the 60 meters and 21.88 seconds in the 200 meters. He ranks 13th in Div. II in the 60 meters and eighth in the 200 meters, according to the NCAA track and field site.
Maska, an All-American in the shot put in indoor and outdoor track in 2007, ranks seventh in the shot put with a season-best throw of 56-11.25 feet.
