Gross paces Tiger golfers

HOLLISTER, Mo. -- Freshman Brendon Gross was the Fort Hays State University men's golf team's best finisher at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Championships, which wrapped up Tuesday at Branson Creek Golf Course.
Gross shot a 235 to earn 22nd place in the MIAA.
The Tigers finished sixth as a team at 947. Washburn won the team title with an 884, with Central Missouri placing second, 17 shots back.
Tiger freshman Jacob Hoover was second on the Tigers, finishing 24th with a 236. Also competing for Fort Hays: Brent Millikan (241), Jeff Roether (242) and Nick Rotolo (244).
The Tigers have completed the regular season and await the regional tournament announcement.
