Tiger softball signs new recruits

Fort Hays State University softball coach Erin Kinberger has signed six players for the 2013 season.
Signing with the Tigers were Tori Beltz, Courtney Dobson, Paxton Duran, Calee Eaton., Lauryn Chase and Adara Erickson.
Beltz, a senior first baseman at Rose Hill High School, is a two-time all-league pick. She batted .484 last season and hit six home runs.
Dobson, a senior second baseman at Union High School in Broken Arrow, Okla., was a two-time all-conference, all-district and all-region selection. She helped her team win last year's Class 6A state title.
Duran, a senior pitcher at Brighton High School in Brighton, Colo., helped lead her team to the state tournament all four years, finishing second in 2011. As a senior, Duran batted .500, with two homers and 26 RBIs. As a pitcher, she allowed 13 earned runs in 114 innings, with a 0.80 earned-run average. She was a two-time first-team all-state selection.
Eaton, a senior catcher-first baseman from Clinton High School in Clinton, Mo., was a four-time all-conference pick and three-time all-district and two-time all-region selection. Eaton batted .561 in 2011.
Chase, from Colorado Springs, and Erickson, from Fountain, Colo., are both seniors at Fountain-Fort Carson High School. Chase, an outfielder, is a 2011 first-team all-state selection and three-time Colorado Springs All-Metro pick. Erickson, a catcher, batted .442 as a senior and is a two-time all-conference pick.
