Whitehill, Kosjer first team all-MIAA

Fort Hays State University seniors Alex Whitehill and Ethan Kosjer each first-team selections on the 2011 All-MIAA football team, announced Tuesday by the conference.
Whitehill was a first-team selection at linebacker, while Kosjer was first-team punter. Whitehill finished the season leading NCAA Division II in tackles with 164. He was five short of the Division II single-season record. Whitehill was an honorable mention selection last season.
Kosjer led the MIAA in punting average for the second straight season, averaging 44.4 yards per kick, ranked third in NCAA Division II.
On offense, John "Hawk" Rouse was named second team on the offensive line, while running back Andre Smith, senior offensive linemen Casey Sorrell and Lamar Leon were honorable mention on the offensive line.
SEnior defensive back Korey Allison was honroable mention defense, as was junior lineman Kyle perry. Also earning honorable mention honors was junior defensive back Kedron Paul.
