Fort Hays signs volleyball player

By The Hays Daily NewsThe Fort Hays State University volleyball program notched its first signing of the 2007 class in Katelyn Lapham.Lapham was a setter for Pine Creek (Colo.) High School from her freshman through junior year, then moved to libero last season. She was a four-year letter winner, helping Pine Creek win three district titles, and an eighth-place finish at state last year.Lapham is playing for the Colorado Juniors Volleyball Club for the second straight year. She also played with them during the 2003-04 season. Lapham was part of the Nike Thundercats in 2003-04 when they made it to the Junior Olympic Nationals.
