Tiger baseball swept by NW Missouri

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Fort Hays State University baseball team lost the final two games of its road series against Northwest Missouri State University on Saturday. The Tigers lost the first game 4-1 and dropped the second contest 9-0. Fort Hays is 9-9 overall, 6-6 MIAA. Northwest Missouri is 4-13, 4-8.
In the first game, junior right-hander Connor Beer (2-2) worked all six innings, allowing four runs, all earned, on nine hits with seven strikeouts against zero walks. Fort Hays had five hits all game and scored its run in the fifth. Junior Brett Macari went 2-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Tigers. In the second game, junior right-hander Tyler Treinen (0-1) worked 32รขÑ3 innings and allowed four runs on three hits with five strikeouts against three walks. Fort Hays had six hits, two from sophomore Jay Sanders.
