Tiger senior selected for all-star game

Fort Hays State University seniors C.J. Lovett and Wesley Yarbough were selected for the 2010 Valero Cactus Bowl in Kingsville, Texas on Jan. 8. The Cactus Bowl will showcase 72 of the top players from NCAA Division II, divided into East and West rosters. Both Yarbough and Lovett will be playing for the West team.
Both players earned first team all-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association this fall as the Tigers improved from 2-9 to 6-5. Lovett, who also garnered all-Region Super 4 honors as a returner, was first-team kick returner and second-team defensive back after he returned four kicks for touchdowns and intercepted four passes. Yarbough, a two-year starter at left tackle, was a first team all-conference pick and helped FHSU score 365 points, second-most in a single season in Fort Hays annals. The pair joins four other players from the MIAA in the game (two from Central Missouri, one from Missouri Western, and one from Washburn).
