Tiger tennis team falls at Newman

WICHITA -- The Fort Hays State University tennis team lost, 6-3, Friday on the road to Newman University in its final regular season match of the season. Fort Hays dropped to 7-10 and will next compete at the MIAA tournament Friday in Kansas City, Mo.
Fort Hays won two doubles matches. The No. 1 team of freshman Brittney Ricci and junior Melissa Skovira won 8-5, while the No. 3 team of Megan Quinley and freshman Caitlyn Wark won 8-6.
Fort Hays went 1-5 in six singles' matches. Wark won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
