Of the six Tigers headed to the NCAA Division II National Championships, which start Thursday in Pomona, Calif., five are entered in field events and one on the track.
But the one on the track is junior Bryan Haynes, who won the 200-meter dash at the national indoor meet in a time of 21.78 seconds. He has the second-fastest time outdoors heading into the weekend. Haynes also will run in the 100-meter dash.
Senior Brady Maska has the best mark in the discus going into the national meet, and also will be in the hammer throw, where he has the third-best mark in the nation. He finished fourth in the shot put in the national indoor meet.
Sophomore Garrett Edgar has the 10th-best distance in the javelin this spring, with senior Kyle Jilka 16th-best and freshman Adam Capps, 17th.
On the women's side, junior Lindsay McCormick ranks 12th in the javelin.
