Tiger men fourth, women fifth at MIAA

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Fort Hays State University men's cross country team finished fourth and the women's team finished fifth at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Championships on Saturday.
The best finisher for the Tiger men was senior Jay Lindal who earned all-MIAA honors, taking third. Seniors Elias Diaz (11th) and Dan Yoder (18th) were named honorable mention all-conference. On the women's side, sophomore Amie Algrim (14th), senior Nikki Knowles (18th) and junior Ali Mishler (19th) were all-MIAA honorable mention.
Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University won the men's title, while Missouri Southern State University won its third straight women's championship.
